Points: How to Earn Free Grad Gear

Grad gear = Cord (left) & stole (right):

This site will normally just contain pictures, but since this grad gear picture is up, I might as well tell you how to earn one or both of those items.

Here's the information on the points system:

Hi, guys.

There was an error in the last email I sent about the points system. Spring 2009 graduates need to earn 10 points throughout the YEAR for free grad gear--not throughout the semester. I am so sorry for the confusion. I have edited the photo blog as well.

Here is the edited info on the point system:

* Note: If you are a sophomore or junior and you earn the appropriate number of points, you may choose to receive your grad gear early (but please let us know so we can order it).

* Objective: Earn POINTS for active membership so that you can receive free grad gear or a gift certificate

* Seniors
- Fall 2008 graduates:
-- Earn 6 points throughout Fall 2008 semester for cord & stole
-- Earn 4 points throughout Fall 2008 semester for just the cord
- Spring 2009 graduates:
-- Earn 10 points throughout the 2008-2009 school year for cord & stole -- Earn 6 points throughout the 2008-2009 school year for just the cord
* Juniors
-- Earn 10 points throughout the year for both the cord and the stole (early for graduation)
-- Earn 10 points throughout the year for a gift certificate at the end of the year
-- Earn 6 points throughout the year for just the cord (early for graduation)

* How to earn points:
- 1 point for meetings
- 1 point for social events
- 2 points for induction
- 2 points for working at a Psi Chi-sponsored event (e.g., being a proctor at a free GRE practice
test event)
- 2 points for panels & workshops
- 3 points for community service events

* We will have plenty of point-earning opportunities for you this year!
